Can You Think of a Better Reason to Celebrate?

My other-daughter (I like that better than daughter-in-law, don't you?) Heather, is expecting her first baby, making me a grandma-times-three, some time on or around March 16th.

I ask, "What better reason to celebrate with a par-tay?" and so we had a baby-shower. The first one to guess what she's having wins a prize....not really, I got nothin' for ya, except for some bloggy-love.
Let's zoom-in on that white platter with the chocolate things, shall we?
This is where I interrupt our normal blog-posting schedule, to shamelessly plug a sinfully-delectable treat called, "Cake Bites" which I discovered through my daughter Jen who discovered them on Rachael Ray, who discovered them through the Sweet Tooth Fairy. This is a new bakery not far from my home, which has been open for just over a week, and where I am already a three-peat customer. Embarrassing really, especially since two of my three visits were in secret when I pretended to be purchasing treats for a party, but consumed them all by myself on the drive home.

I only just met the bakery's owner on my third and NOT-secret visit (a delightful woman, by the way) but as a member of the community, I DO feel a vested interest in feeding my addiction facilitating the ongoing success of her business! The cupcakes I ordered for both my real AND pretend parties were also a-may-zing, as were the peanut butter cookies that no one else got to try.

Now back to the REAL reason for my post. Thanks to my other-daughter Heather and to my son Jared in his supporting role, for giving me the best excuse EVER to throw a party. I love you both!

p.s. Thanks also to Erin at If You Give A Mom A Moment for the how-to lesson on strikethroughs

Michelle - Absolutely! and maybe even a fourth in May, but Jen likes to torture her mother by not finding out the gender of her babies. (How is a g-ma supposed to shop, for cryin-out-loud?!) Loved, the tutus you made, and so did my girlz :)

Wow, this is my kind of baby shower! I tend to be a little extravagant when throwing parties.

And I have not been to Sweet Tooth yet! I know they advertise on TAMN, and they just got a store, so I will have to check it out!

Okay, I'm pretty sure I need the address to this place so I can stuff my face next time I head north.

And you are welcome for the info! I love helping people out! :)

Kathy! It looks as though it was so much fun. I was at mom and dads at 12:45 on Saturday wondering where all the sister in laws were when my gaze came across an invitation on the fridge that looked familiar. Oh yeah...
I am sorry, I totally forgot. I'm sad, too, because you always through such fantastic party's :(

Since I don't know what I am having you just need to buy the baby something that is not gender specific...like a dozen cake bites for the baby to enjoy while in the womb. and what is this about amazing PB cookies? What nightstand drawer did you hide those in when I wasn't looking?!

Hmm, what fake party can I claim to be throwing so that I can go buy some stuff from the sweet tooth fairy?
You throw the most amazing showers and I am so lucky to have been the recipient of one of them!
If you want to go, I will totally go to Kristina's meet and greet thingy with you. I said no on her blog poll but thats just because it scares me a little to "come out" as a blog stalker all by my self!

Um, can I come to your next party, Kathy? Hello, fabulous! You throw my kind of party. I adored your decorations, and that lovely chocolate dipped fruit on the platter? Heaven!

Congratulations on being a grandmother x 3. If your next grandchild is even remotely as cute as Miss Maddie, you are in big trouble! :)
